Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I choose custom stationery?

Stationery is a personal statement and finding unique stationery in a giant invitation catalogue can be an overwhelming task.  I work with clients to ensure their stationery is specific to their needs and sets a unique tone.  I will work with you to find the perfect paper, fonts, and wording for your invitations.  I'll also help you pick the finishing touches which really make your stationery stand out as original and handcrafted.

When should I place my order?

You should finalize your invitation package at least three weeks before they need to be mailed.  We can begin the process as soon as your event date, time and location are confirmed.

The process of designing wedding invitations should be started earlier than other stationery packages.  It is customary to send wedding invitations 6-8 weeks prior to the wedding date, so please keep that in mind when placing an order for custom wedding invitations.

Uh oh, I'm behind in the process. Do you accept rush orders?

Absolutely... assuming my current workload allows for this.  Rush fees may apply.  Please contact me to inquire about rush orders.

I don't have time to assemble or address my invitations! Can you help?

Assembly fees are included in all price quotes, as I understand that you may not have time to complete this task, particularly for your wedding invitations.  Calligraphy adds a nice touch to any invitation, and handwritten envelopes are proper wedding etiquette.

You also do calligraphy?!? What do you charge?

I charge $1.50/outer envelope and $0.50/inner envelope (wedding invitations often have double envelopes).

What kind of fonts can be used?

Finding the perfect font can be difficult, but I can work with you so that your font makes your custom invitation stand out.  There are a wide range of available fonts (typefaces) and if you have something you really like, let me know.  Part of the custom invitation process is finding the font which helps set the tone of your event!
